Well, it’s a good thing that it spawned a song of it. Hope it does well on NG.

As a reaction: I do not enjoy being flogged, but I do enjoy not being the one to argue😉

Anchorwind responds:

Motivation can come from a myriad source. I'm glad you enjoyed being flogged, metaphorically.

It’s an okay song. It’s better than my first try, at least.

Also, it reminds me of Oxygene Pt 3 from Jean-Michel Jarre.

FrantorminGD responds:

Thanks bro :D

This sounds pretty unique and out-of-the-box. The slightly distorted mallets make for a catchy melody in the background. The drum sequences are subtle and rhythmic, but this song has the repetetiveness as a downside. At least, it doesn't sound interesting anymore for me when things go on for too long. But my goal is to give as much constructive advice as possible, and I can't deny the enjoyment of a good track. Hopefully this review was helpful.

larrynachos responds:

At what point do things feel repetitive? Each section was designed to give a few elements the spotlight. The intro gives you time to enjoy the echos of the lead pluck and pick up on the subtle water pad. Then you get hit with the swell pad, and then it hits the main drop with 3 pads and some percussive elements. It's simple yes, but i feel like it's just long enough to give you time to appreciate each element. Thanks for your review

It’s very calming listening to this song. I always like those African drum arrangements.

Sounds pretty much like a snowy landscape indeed. The atmosphere that this song represents also feels kind of empty (at night, there is nothing but absolute darkness and snowfall, like in the Alps, I imagine). I don’t know if that was your intention when making this song, but I kind of like it. It’s not really my style, but I can say you did a good job here.

Codefreq responds:

To clarify, my intention with this piece, as per the AIM 2020 competition requirements (https://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1451112), was trying to base my song off of the picture linked in the description for this piece. The description itself is adding specifics to further explain what I was trying to do.

Therefore, what you said about the piece sounding like a snowy landscape is exactly what I needed to hear.

Thank you for your review. :)

I also love thunderstorms, now I love them even more. This song caught that vibe greatly, this is also a fine piece of Techno. It reminds me of Dimrain47's work, also very awesome. But I wonder if he can also catch the vibe of a neat, dark thunderstorm.

But hear me out: They're at their most enjoyable between 21:40 - 01:45 local time though.

BLYAAAAAAAAAAT!

Immediately gives a Super Smash Bros Ultimate feeling as that game came out like two months (Dec 8) later. Funny, I think.

It’s a very energetic, gripping song. Good job.

It was great working together with you, my friend.

I think the average score for this song deserves to be higher! I like this song more than Euphoria to be honest. You did a nice job here, only the ending was a bit unsettling with the reversed bleeps.

DjAbbic responds:

It's fine score doesn't matter all that much on here. I'm glad to hear you liked it though.

Hello everyone. I am a young musician with a strong passion for video editing/creating and making electronic music. Further on I have a part-time job as a promotion video creator, and music is more of a hobby of mine. I might combine them in the future.
